About the studio

A loom-wright would have built the machines that weavers worked on. That's the job we want: not to tell your story, but to build the equipment it deserves — software that is local-first, respectful of your files, honest about what it does, and built to outlast the company that made it.

Three commitments run through everything we ship:

• Your work is yours. Plain file formats — Markdown, JSON, and ZIP — you can open without us. No accounts required for local software, and no telemetry — that's true of everything we ship today, and it's the standard we hold every future product to.
• Plain dealing. What the software does, its pages say honestly; what it costs is stated up front. No dark patterns, no bait-and-switch, no surprises.
• Craft over churn. Small studio, deep software, long support.
